FilingMath is an independent site. It is not a law firm and not a government agency.

Where the numbers come from

Every fee comes from an official state source: the Secretary of State, the state's business filing office, its tax agency, the state's law or its official forms. When a state website blocked us, we used an archived copy of the official page. Each fee on the site links to the source we used. We checked all fees on Oct 9, 2026.

When we cannot confirm a fee on an official page, we say so and leave it out of the totals.

What the totals include

State filing fees, yearly or two-yearly reports, and yearly taxes that every LLC pays no matter its income (for example California's $800 annual tax). Totals do not include income tax, local licenses, professional licenses or formation-service fees.
