SOS Corporations Division fee schedule, effective September 6, 2025 (Rev. 8/2025), read in full: $100 filing fee plus a $10 service charge, $110 total, for both online and paper filing. Note 4 of the schedule says the service charge is included and applies to LLC filings. The georgia.gov/register-llc page (updated June 2026) still says $100 online and $110 by mail; the SOS schedule is the governing document. Expedite fees ($120 / $275 / $1,200) excluded. Source
- Annual Registration: $60. Every year, starting in year 2. SOS fee schedule effective September 6, 2025: $50 filing fee plus $10 service charge, $60 total, online or paper. Due between January 1 and April 1 of each year, first in the calendar year after formation (georgia.gov/renew-llc). Late penalty $25. Source
Forming in another state instead?
If your business operates in Georgia, forming in another state does not remove the Georgia fees. You register there as a "foreign" LLC ($235) and keep filing its yearly reports. You also pay a registered agent in the other state. We assume $99 a year, a low published price (Harbor Compliance).
| If you live in Georgia | First year | 5-year total |

How to file
You can file with the state yourself: Georgia official filing page. Or pay a formation service to file for you. Services charge their own fee on top of the state fees above.
