Each fee

  • Articles of Organization (State Form 49459): $100. Once, when you form the LLC. $100 is the fee printed on the paper form (rev. 01-26), from a search-engine extract; forms.in.gov shows a Cloudflare challenge, so the form was not read. Online (INBiz) total is likely about $95: the SOS regulatory analysis for LSA 25-155 ( read) lists a $20 enhanced access fee on online LLC articles, and its own state comparison table puts Indiana LLC registration at $96. The statutory electronic base fee was not read. Source
  • Business Entity Report (biennial): $31. Every 2 years, starting in year 3. For-profit online $31, by mail $50 (page read in a real browser on 2026-10-09). Filed every other year in the anniversary month of formation. The SOS regulatory analysis shows $11 of the online fee is the enhanced access fee; its comparison table lists $32. First report is due two years after formation (search extract of INBiz), so it falls in calendar year 3. Source

Forming in another state instead?

If your business operates in Indiana, forming in another state does not remove the Indiana fees. You register there as a "foreign" LLC ($125) and keep filing its yearly reports. You also pay a registered agent in the other state. We assume $99 a year, a low published price (Harbor Compliance).

How to file

You can file with the state yourself: Indiana official filing page. Or pay a formation service to file for you. Services charge their own fee on top of the state fees above.
