Each fee
- Articles of Organization (domestic LLC): $50. Once, when you form the LLC. An SOS-filed Articles of Organization (Feb 2025) states 'Non-Refundable Application Fee: $50.00' (seen in search-index text; the page returns 403). The fee is set by NMSA 53-19-63, which I could not open. 2017 HB 180 (nmlegis.gov, read through a web.archive.org copy) restated the same $50 fee for the certificate of organization. NM accepts LLC formation online only. Source
Forming in another state instead?
If your business operates in New Mexico, forming in another state does not remove the New Mexico fees. You register there as a "foreign" LLC ($100) and keep filing its yearly reports. You also pay a registered agent in the other state. We assume $99 a year, a low published price (Harbor Compliance).
| If you live in New Mexico | First year | 5-year total |

How to file
You can file with the state yourself: New Mexico official filing page. Or pay a formation service to file for you. Services charge their own fee on top of the state fees above.
