Each fee

  • Certificate of Organization (LLC): $59. Once, when you form the LLC. 2026 H.B. 8 (enrolled), Section 3, approves fees for fiscal year 2027 (July 1, 2026 to June 30, 2027): Limited Liability Company 'Articles of Organization/Qualification' $54, plus a separate 'Single Sign-On-Portal Fee' $5. The Division's FY2026 schedule ( 403 to direct reads) is quoted in search results as $59, which matches $54 plus $5. Recorded as $59; the true charge is $54 if the $5 fee is not added to formations. Optional $75 expedite excluded. Source
  • Annual Renewal (Annual Report): $18. Every year, starting in year 2. 2026 H.B. 8 approves an LLC annual report fee of $13 for FY2027. Utah Code 13-1-2(4)(b) adds a single sign-on fee, not over $5, 'as part of a renewal fee', so the renewal is $18. Due on the anniversary of registration (Division renewal page, per search results), so the first renewal falls in year 2. Source

Forming in another state instead?

If your business operates in Utah, forming in another state does not remove the Utah fees. You register there as a "foreign" LLC ($59) and keep filing its yearly reports. You also pay a registered agent in the other state. We assume $99 a year, a low published price (Harbor Compliance).

You can file with the state yourself: Utah official filing page. Or pay a formation service to file for you. Services charge their own fee on top of the state fees above.
